What is an Examination Under Oath?
An examination under oath or EUO, is a formal proceeding during which an insured is under oath and in the presence of a court reporter, and is questioned by a representative of the insurance company to obtain the necessary information to evaluate and process the claim. Whenever you’re answering anything under oath, you should have an attorney present and you should understand what you’re required to answer and what you’re not required to answer.
